Weight Loss Tips to Become Your Better Version
I want you to use this list as a starting point, it will guide you and put you on the right track but you will be using it according to your lifestyle. So, never limit yourself and keep learning down the road.
#1. Change Your Mindset
Start learning to like your persona and empower yourself to say shut up to a negative voice. In order to lose weight, you need to spend more prime time with yourself, only you are the boss of your body and life.
When you have a goal that you really want to achieve, tell yourself, convince yourself you can do it. If you don’t believe you can, you won’t do it. A correct mindset is key for pursuing any goal, you need to be sure that you got all that it takes to achieve your goal. It is clear that it takes courage and passion to become your better version.
I want to say it’s easy but the reality is you got to fight for it, breaking a habit it’s not a piece of cake but I know you can do it.
You need to fight against your enemies which can be laziness, bad eating habits, procrastination, lack of motivation, and fear that you won’t achieve your goal. When you don’t have the courage to act and make progress, your habits will continue to push you away from your weight loss goal.
You have to give yourself a priority, you deserve self-care!.
#2. Encourage Yourself to Win
Every time you are standing in front of the mirror and complaining about the love handles, big belly, and a lot more, just look around. You are not doing any good for yourself or those around you. I don’t think that negative thoughts will take anybody to a good place. So, if you are in this situation, start accepting yourself the way you are!
You were born perfect and you have all it takes to become whoever you want to be; you have all that it takes to become your better version. You definitely don’t need a big investment; you don’t even need a gym membership or expensive fitness equipment to start making progress or achieve your goals.
#3. Focus on Discipline
After making up your mind, you need discipline. You either spend your time focusing on your training and healthy diet or you either waste your time. Sometimes the lack of discipline in life is spoiling all the fun and puts at risk our future.
Never count the days you have been eating healthier or working out, instead, make every day count toward your progress and goals.
Develop a routine and stick to it. Go for a walk after work or during lunchtime. Plan on riding your bike more often ( 5 miles a day is a good idea) and most importantly, follow a good and healthy diet.
If you like the Keto diet the most then make a commitment to follow it. Always keep in mind WHY is it you are trying to lose weight, keep in mind the big picture. Are you looking to lose weight because of your health, beauty, or to inspire your family? If you start developing confidence in yourself you will be closer to succeed but in your weight-loss tasks.
#4. Choose an exercise routine that you enjoy
The key is to wake up every day looking forward to exercising because exercise should be fun. If you don’t like training at the gym, you don’t have to. You can instead work out at home and still obtain the same results. If you don’t like lifting weights, don’t do it, if you don’t like to run you can do something else.
Pick an exercise that gives you joy.
There are many affordable options out there and some don’t even cost you any money. I remember when I started my workout journey, I used to love jogging outside, I just got me a good pair of shoes and I remember enjoying this time a lot.
Later in my journey,
I started cycling and jogging in place in my rebounder. I found It is easier on my knees and I still enjoy it. _You can do the same!.
Having discipline in your routine is important but if you dislike what you are doing it can become hard to keep up for a long time. Exercising with enthusiasm and passion is your free ticket to start losing weight. It will reward you extra by increasing your energy as well as boosting your mood as well.

#5. Set Realistic Goals
It’s possible that you might be setting goals like:
- I want to lose 20 lbs. in a month.
- By next month I’m going to get my figure back
- I will train one day a week and will expect tangible progress
Don’t you think these goals are unrealistic? Instead of saying I want to lose 20 lbs. tell yourself, I am going to train at least 20 minutes a day. Instead of “I want to lose 50 lbs. by next summer”, think about saying: I will exercise at least 3 times a week in the next 6 months.
This type of thought will not discourage you and won’t disappoint you if you don’t lose any weight in a week or month but you are still keeping your body moving and focused on eating healthier, you are making progress.
Set realistic goals such as exercise longer, add more fruits and vegetables to your diet, drink 2 extra glasses of water daily to help your body to easily detoxify. It’s doable and you can easily follow routines like that with the right mindset! Doing so will keep your motivation going.
#6. Get Support
You might be trying all the famous diets or following the exercises on YouTube, but there is one thing that’s really important: Becoming knowledgeable about proper fitness and a healthy diet.
Try to connect with people who are in the same boat and learn from them. It can help you to be accountable. You would be able to motivate each other as well. So, let’s say one day you don’t feel like working out, maybe others can inspire you not to quit!
#7. Reward Yourself
When was the last time you appreciated yourself? Do you feel happy when someone rewards you for doing something well? Then, why don’t you do the same with yourself? Who are you working for? If you know you are working hard for yourself, make the habit to reward you, if running is keeping you motivated, get nice running shoes, if rebounding is doing it instead you can get a better rebounder. After all, it is for your own good.
#8. Start Slow
Do not put your workout habits at risk, you will get discouraged if at the beginning of your workout all you are getting is pain. Rome was not built in a day, so you don’t have to lose all the weight in a month.
Sometimes we get motivated when a special event is coming. It’s possible that you or your best friend might be getting married! You are all excited and want to look your best. But why only for the wedding and not thinking of the bigger picture? Don’t you think your overall health and becoming the best version of you should be the source of your motivation?
As long as you have a healthy BMI, any form of workout will work for you! However, it is always better to start with baby steps! One step at a time and you will start seeing great progress and results.

#9. Focus on A Healthy Diet
Many people unconsciously use food as an attempt to escape the stress and/or depression of daily life. In order to lose weight, you need to better manage your diet and stress level. An effective weight loss plan is not about a 3-month healthy diet; a healthy lifestyle is not a single period of your life. The goal is to develop a healthier way of eating and this is a journey. You have to be conscious of the food you are giving to your body, if you nourish your body with junk food, you will see junky results, if you feed your body with good nutrients instead, you will see excellent results.
Be consistent and set yourself for a more balanced diet. Take the average calorie intake, drink enough water, and sleep well!
